Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding currently has an opportunity for a Methods Planner at the Sturgeon Bay, WI location. Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding (FBS) is located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. This position is responsible for development, maintenance and delivery of the shipyard's area occupation, allocation and workflow to all levels at our vast, 63-acre facility. Significant heavy manufacturing takes place both in several fabrication shops, as well as on the waterfront. The successful candidate will support the 1,000+ working men and women on our waterfront by guiding and improving performance through area occupation management and analysis . Detailed Description: Updating the area occupation of the different workshops, open areas, docks and quays of the shipyards Responsible for collaborating with Production Managers, General Foreman and PP&C Managers to develop the building strategy and update the area occupation Responsible for aligning Shipyard AI of FBS with the other FMG shipyard Collaborate with the other Method offices of FMG Maintain weekly schedule and progress reporting in Pro- Model Elaborate tack time for each project and construction phase/work center Elaborate the master schedule according to the target for the new projects and input them in Pro-Model Distribute weekly updated shipyard layout with all modules and ship in the yard in order to support production. Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of workflow, ship subdivision, erection sequence, and area allocation. Interpret the results of the work center plan, compare them with the target to establish the better solution and make recommendations on appropriateness of area allocation. Work closely with the team in a way to share information and ideas Ability and willingness to engage in highly energetic pursuits on the waterfront. Abide by safety and sanitation regulations.
