Senior Front-End Software Engineer at Aquent
We are seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer for a 7‑month hybrid role in Beaverton, OR. Candidates must have extensive experience with React/Redux, JavaScript, and TypeScript, as well as strong proficiency in Node.js and AWS. This role requires a proactive, adaptable engineer who can design robust, user‑centric products and participate in all phases of the product lifecycle.
Base pay range $71.00/hr – $79.00/hr
Note:
Candidates with Java experience are not a fit for this role.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement new features and functionalities for a specialized media platform using modern frontend technologies.
Provide ongoing product support, including minor enhancements and production fixes for internal and external end‑users.
Manage and optimize the platform’s technology stack with a focus on media and picture asset management.
Collaborate within an advanced engineering team, embracing a “gloves‑off” environment that values proactivity and adaptability.
Contribute to the entire product lifecycle, from initial development to ongoing maintenance and evolution.
Qualifications
Extensive frontend development experience with React/Redux, JavaScript, and TypeScript ecosystems.
Strong proficiency in Node.js and cloud services.
Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform.
A proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, less process‑driven engineering environment, demonstrating proactivity and adaptability.
Nice to Haves
Experience with GraphQL.
Familiarity with Git/GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
Exposure to cloud‑based AI tools.
Understanding of event‑based architecture.
Startup experience or a track record of building products from the beginning of their lifecycle.
A passion for engineering and a proactive, reactive mindset to technical challenges.
