Release Train Engineer (RTE)

Responsibilities
Facilitate key ART events such as PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and iteration planning meetings.
Proactively identify and remove impediments that hinder ART progress, working with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and stakeholders.
Help manage and mitigate ART risks—budget, productivity, technical—and dependencies between teams.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and identifying improvement areas.
Coaching leaders, Scrum Masters, and teams in Lean‑Agile principles to adopt SAFe practices and improve performance.
Optimize the flow of value through the ART by identifying bottlenecks and implementing flow accelerators.
Ensure alignment between ART goals, organizational objectives, and stakeholder needs.
Act as liaison between teams and stakeholders, facilitating communication and knowledge sharing.
Prepare ART for PI Planning, facilitate the event, and summarize Team PI Objectives for transparency.
Ensure ART adheres to established SAFe guardrails and practices.
Mandatory Skills
Experience in large‑scale Agile transformations.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience managing cross‑functional teams in a matrixed environment.
5+ years in Agile roles (Scrum Master, Agile Coach, etc.).
2+ years as a Release Train Engineer or similar role.
Strong understanding of Agile and SAFe principles.
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne).
