Job Summary The Foundation Philanthropy Officer, Children’s Miracle Network supports and implements the CMN annual fundraising efforts of the UMC Foundation and UMC Children’s Hospital. Primary responsibility with implementing CMN Special Events, working with CMN national and local sponsors. Primary contact and provides leadership for the activities of the UMC Spirit Team.

Job Specific Responsibilities Daily assignments may include but are not limited to :
Implements specific national sponsor programs for Children’s Miracle Network in coordination of the CMN Program Manager
Implements specific local sponsor programs for Children’s Miracle Network, including Texas Tech Dance Marathon, Extra Life, Administrative Professional’s Day, as well as others as assigned.
Implements and coordinates with CMN Program Manager CMN Media Events
Provides leadership to the UMC Spirit Team to ensure Spirit Team goals are met / oversight of activities.
Supports appropriate work of UMC Foundation Board Committees.
Develops and achieves annual giving best practice metrics.
All other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field
3 year of experience in fundraising, preferably in a healthcare
Skills and Abilities
Ability to design and implement successful fundraising programs
Able to establish and maintain effective relationships with donors and volunteers
Effectively cope with change and able to operate in the midst of ambiguity
Proficient with a donor software system and also Microsoft Office Suite
Skilled in communicating in individual and group settings
Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships Interaction with the Foundation Board members and other volunteer groups is extremely important Relationships with existing sponsor groups outside of the hospital are to be maintained throughout the year.
Physical Capabilities Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to read, write, listen, and verbally communicate
Environmental Working Conditions This position is exposed to indoor varying temperature changes
