Grants Manager
The Lee County Port Authority is seeking a highly skilled Grants Manager to join the Capital Programming team where you will lead, manage, and oversee the grants program, including the grant development, application, and monitoring activities and expenditures of grant funds. A key responsibility is ensuring compliance with multiple federal and state requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop funding strategies, reports and presentations to deliver within the organization and to external agencies
Serve as the liaison to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and other federal and state agencies
Manage all contract documents for agency approvals to maintain eligibility for application of grant funds and to maximize funding potential and opportunities, while ensuring compliance with all grant terms and conditions
Manage FDOT's Joint Automated Capital Improvement Program (JACIP) for RSW and FMY, ensuring alignment with the Port Authority's Capital Improvement Program (CIP)
Conduct research and review of proposed federal, state, and local regulations to assess potential impacts to grant-funded projects
Oversee the grant management platform, including performing updates and generating reports
Require active involvement with aviation industry organizations, such as Florida Airports Council (FAC), American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Airports Council International (ACI) and National Grants Management Association (NGMA)
Travel as required
Minimum Requirements :
A valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, political science, communications, marketing, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be substituted
A minimum of two years of experience in managing or administering grant programs for large capital projects
Prior experience with Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas
Emergency Response / Recovery Activities : Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time. Employees may be called to fulfill duties that are outside their normal scope of work to assist in resuming airport operations and flight activities.
