Position Overview South Seas Resort is seeking a dynamic and strategic Leisure Sales Manager to lead and grow our leisure travel segment. This role is responsible for managing relationships with resort wholesalers, optimizing distribution channels, and executing strategic initiatives in collaboration with Marketing and Revenue Management. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail‑oriented professional with a passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of leisure travel markets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with resort wholesalers and leisure travel partners, including OTA’s, travel agents, and consortia.
Oversee channel mapping and management to ensure optimal distribution and rate parity across platforms.
Conduct monthly performance meetings with key partners and internal stakeholders to review KPIs and identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with Revenue Management to align leisure sales strategy with pricing, inventory, and promotional goals.
Manage relationships with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), ensuring visibility, competitiveness, and performance.
Implement strategic promotions.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed.
Direct the conduct of analytical studies; develop and review reports of findings, alternatives, and recommendations.
Ensure all leisure content is accurate and up‑to‑date across platforms, including ICE Portal and Property VIEW.
Educate and keep internal and external reservations department up to date.
Coordinate with marketing and revenue teams to maintain brand consistency and optimize digital presence.
Monitor developments and trends in the industry, evaluate their impact upon resort operations, and recommend and implement program improvements.
Represent South Seas Resort at industry trade shows and networking events.
Cultivate relationships within the Leisure market to expand brand reach and drive qualified leads.
Conduct site tours and familiarize trips for travel agent and wholesale markets.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in leisure sales, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.
Strong understanding of OTA platforms, channel management, and revenue optimization.
Experience with ICE Portal, Portview, and other hospitality content management systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to travel for trade shows and partner meetings as needed.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with consortia programs such as Virtuoso, Signature, or Travel Leaders.
Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools.
Strategic thinker with a data‑driven approach to sales and marketing.
