Job Description The Sport Clubs Coach I (Ice Hockey Club Assistant) is responsible for assisting with coaching the assigned ice hockey club(s). Duties General:

Responsible for coordinating practices, home and away competitions, and tournaments. Must be able to teach a wide range of participants from beginners to experienced high school and collegiate athletes. Properly instruct fundamentals and techniques. Administrative:

Assist club leadership with short- and long-term goals and develop a plan of action for the academic year. Other:

Perform additional duties as assigned to support the department, division, and university. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Minimum of two years coaching experience at the youth, high school, junior college, or collegiate club level. High School Graduate/GED required. Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree. Candidates should effectively communicate with a diverse student population, demonstrate leadership and organizational skills, and have experience appropriate for coaching at the collegiate club level. Pay & Work Schedule The hourly wage ranges from $20.00 to $25.00, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience. This is a seasonal, part-time position from September through May, with travel required for competitions. The schedule varies between 5 and 20 hours per week based on club activities.
