Workforce Registration Specialist (Education Support Specialist II) Position located at Laurel Ridge Community College, Frederick, VA. Salary 33,828–44,346 USD per year. Full‑time, non‑exempt. Telework up to 32 hours per month may be possible.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for students seeking Workforce Solutions classes, greet visitors, and answer phone inquiries.

Register students for classes, process payments, and assemble class materials.

Manage registrations and class modifications in the Workforce Enterprise Registration System.

Assist with financial aid options (Fast‑Forward, G3, FANTIC), determine eligibility, and help students apply.

Perform cash and credit‑card transactions, process transfers, refunds, and track credentials.

Support course setup, room assignments, instructor packet distribution, event preparation, and basic audio‑visual setup.

Collaborate with Workforce Solutions team, instructors, allied agencies, and college staff.

Submit completion verification reports to government and professional agencies.

Daily Tasks

Register students for classes; process payments; assemble rosters, certificates, and instructor packets.

Respond to student concerns and complaints; call students as needed.

Track and document enrollment, progress, and payments (FastForward, G3, FANTIC).

Assist with course/class setup and room preparation.

Secure and assign classrooms for classes.

Attend special events and assist with registration and hosting.

Experience with CRM/registration systems, credit‑card transactions, and financial aid processing preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of customer service experience in an office setting.

Clear communication skills—phone, in‑person, email.

Experience with CRM/registration systems, financial transactions, and higher‑education environment preferred.

Knowledge of workforce programs and financial aid options helpful.

Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel to Middletown, VA for training.

Work Schedule & Telework Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (subject to change). Telework up to 32 hours per month may be allowed.
