Job Title: Mechanical Assembler (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Aurora, OH
Shifts Available:
1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM, Monday through Thursday Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00/hr based on experience Start Date: ASAP Hours & Work Environment This is a full-time role at a growing and well-established company serving major global brands. Your assignment will be in one of three nearby buildings, focused on mechanical assembly work within a clean, organized production space. The company is experiencing high demand with growth, which means consistent work and strong long-term potential.
Pay & Benefits
Starting pay: $20-$22/hr, based on experience Contract-to-hire with raise upon direct hire 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and life insurance starting the first of the month after your start date 401(k) with 100% match on the first 3%, and 50% match on the next 2% Clean, well-lit facility with advanced machinery (robotics, lasers, waterjets) Career growth in a company that grew 50% last year Job Responsibilities As a Mechanical Assembler, you'll be working with a variety of electrical and fabricated components to build high-quality products used in mission-critical applications. You will:
Interpret 3D models and assembly drawings to follow build instructions Use basic hand tools to assemble subassemblies, frames, and enclosures Install flexibar and power cables as specified by product design Apply proper torque specifications per drawings Conduct inspections to meet quality control standards Report any quality concerns to your supervisor Accurately document work and follow safety procedures Remain adaptable as production needs change Required Qualifications
Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing or mechanical setting Ability to read and understand assembly drawings Comfortable using hand tools and wire crimpers Able to follow written and verbal instructions Preferred Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and documentation Basic computer navigation skills (email, digital work orders) Experience with micrometers or inspection tools is a plus Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs Able to stand for an 8-hour shift Comfortable with bending, kneeling, reaching, and using small tools Good vision and hand dexterity for fine assembly tasks Pre-Employment Requirements
