Adjunct Faculty, Soft Goods Manufacturing
Colorado Mountain College seeks an adjunct faculty member to aid students in their learning process through the use of available resources, materials, and educational technologies. The instructor will facilitate learning throughout campus communities, engage in scholarly and service activities, and support the college’s commitment to excellence in teaching and diverse classroom settings.
Qualifications
Minimum of a master’s degree in a field related to the position or equivalent educational background. Examples: business, finance, management, marketing or other related business fields.
One‑year full‑time teaching experience, or equivalent as an adjunct instructor; higher education teaching experience preferred.
Credential to teach in the specific program or eligibility to obtain such credentials.
Strong background in computer technology, excellent organizational and general office skills, and effective communication and interpersonal capabilities.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.
Responsibilities Teaching and course management:
Prepare lesson plans and course outlines/syllabi.
Deliver assigned courses, evaluate student learning, and maintain accurate records.
Provide student consultation and assist with advising, registration and orientation activities.
Engage in scholarship, creative work that enhances discipline expertise, and service on campus committees and projects.
Participate in program and course reviews, student recruitment and retention activities.
Represent CMC professionally in the community and promote a positive public image.
Attend professional development required for credentialing.
Administrative and support duties:
Assist in curriculum development and evaluation of instructional performance.
Maintain office hours and manage student employee supervision when applicable.
Working Conditions & Supervision Position reports to the Assistant Dean of Instruction. Requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing, driving, handling objects up to 50 lbs, and use of computer and office equipment. May require evening, weekend or travel hours.
