Phlebotomy Program Manager

Responsible for productivity, quality and service, strategic planning and continuous improvement of the phlebotomy program with strict adherence to regulatory requirements Does this position require Patient Care? Yes

Essential Functions:

  • Creates and implements policies relating to Phlebotomy Services.
  • Maintain knowledge and teach the proper procedure for the collection, processing, and shipping of blood for diagnostics' testing.
  • Responds to escalated service issues in a manner that maintains client business and build relationships.
  • Prepares for compliance audits related to mobile phlebotomy program.

Qualifications:

Education Associate's Degree Phlebotomy required or Bachelor's Degree Phlebotomy preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No

Licenses and Credentials Experience in phlebotomy 3-5 years required and Prior supervisory experience 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • In depth knowledge of phlebotomy regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient with statistical and computer productivity software (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated training skills.
