SUMMARY:Under the direction of the RN, the endoscopy technician is responsible for assisting with the care and safety of the patient in the endoscopy suite.Other duties include assisting physician with endoscopy procedure and processing of endoscopy equipment.The endoscopy technician is responsible for performing a range of support activities that contribute to the overall efficiency of the perioperative, endoscopy and CSD areas.Work involves inventorying, disassembling, cleaning, high level disinfection, sterilization, reassembling, and maintaining operating room and endoscopy instrumentation/equipment.The endoscopy technician performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning.Brown University Health employees are expected to successfully role model the organization's values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence as these values guide our everyday actions with patients, customers and one another.In addition to our values, all employees are expected to demonstrate the core Success Factors which tell us how we work together and how we get things done.
