Job Title: Stockroom Clerk-Receiving
Reports To: Procurement Manager
Job Purpose
This Stockroom clerk position is primarily responsible for unloading truck deliveries and accurately inputting information into respective computer systems. In addition, the position will be cross trained to pull parts requested by the production floor, work in the shipping area, work on inventory control, and stock shelves.
Duties and Responsibilities
Unloads delivery trucks Inspects delivered parts-counting to verify accurate delivery Inputs information into respective computer systems Keeps outside and inside receiving area clear of clutter, snow etc... Uses computer programs to check inventory amounts and locations Pulls parts from parts lists and stock requisition forms for jobs on production floor Stocks shelves Maintains inventory control through verifying physical stock against computer records Operates Hi-Lo Supports and assists with logistics and shipping needs as necessary Qualifications
Possession of High School Diploma or GED History of good attendance Ability to obtain Hi-Lo license A Current, Valid Driver's License is Required Self-starter-ability to work independently with little or no supervision Task oriented Preferred: Understanding of inventory/stockroom terminology Preferred: Previous experience working in a stockroom in a manufacturing environment Basic computer skills including Microsoft word and excel Basic math skills Demonstrated ability to follow procedures
Ability to work inside and outside when required
Working Conditions
Mostly standing work. Continuously lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds. Frequently lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 100 lbs. (Lifting more than 50 lbs overhead must be performed by using mechanical aids; if mechanical aids are not available, the lift will be performed by two employees in a team lift.) Detailed work with hands; fine work and simple grasping. Position may involve bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, and kneeling with occasional crawling and twisting. Periodic travel may be involved. As needed, will work at a desk and a computer screen for extended periods of time. Must be able to manually enter data to the computer system and understand the screen and images that appear.
