What will you work on?
As a Licensing Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting both the licensing in and licensing out for Melissa & Doug. In this role, you will report to the VP, Portfolio Strategy & Management, while also providing support to the Spin Master VP, Global Licensing. You will partner closely with legal, product development, licensing, finance, International and other cross-functional teams to manage and oversee submissions and approvals, maintain reporting, and ensuring accuracy and completeness of concept and sample submissions/resubmissions. This position is based out of the Wilton, CT office in a hybrid capacity.
How will you create impact?
Support the team to cultivate and lead profitable long-term partnerships with licensees and collaborators to ensure Melissa and Doug is a top licensor of choice by partners Manage the Melissa & Doug product submissions and approvals of new consumer products and product development process. Responsible for the collection and maintenance of reporting and product sample organization and collection, and tracking product submissions Ensuring compliance by licensee of all product submissions, showroom displays, marketing elements and maintaining all necessary records throughout the approval process Coordinate and lead standardized reviews with Licensees to ensure all licensing requirements are met for each project Collaborate with Licensing team to help create customized pitches for new partners Coordinate and execute product and brand presentations, maintaining sell sheets and updated Licensee lists Manage forecast updates, royalty reporting and updates from partners according to each contract Partner with finance, legal and commercial teams on licensing deal term entry and collecting feedback on partner contracts, respectively. Communicating with internal teams on various licensing matters, such as licensing result, licensing agreement, expiration dates, etc. Maintain knowledge on all licensing changes and ensure changes are made in accordance with Spin Master timeline/ volume requirements Reviewing and maintaining all operating records to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations Drive continuous improvement by recommending changes to internal processes & procedures Lead special projects for the licensing team as needed What are your skills and experience?
Experience in Licensing or a similar function Proven service-minded and strong client service focus, flexible and open to new ways of doing business Must have a high level of discretion with prior experience handling confidential information Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information Experience with Media Box (Consumer product approval system) is preferred Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project #LI-Hybrid #LI-HM1
The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Connecticut is $60,000 to $70,000 [Per Annum]. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
