Job Description
What will you work on?
As a Senior Brand Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing innovative initiatives, leading the long-term innovation strategy and merging consumer and category insights to develop new products that adhere to consumer needs.
How will you create impact?
Lead and manage white space innovation initiatives from ideation through launch; responsible for execution of all projects including business case development, market research, packaging, forecasting and customer sell-in
Manage PL including forecasting, pricing, costing and profitability analysis in order to achieve brand financial goals
Liaise with Licensing team to ensure all key milestones, forecasts, calendars, and other critical details are aligned to and shared
Utilize consumer insights to deliver new concepts that will drive incremental growth
Define white space opportunities and innovative solutions to improve at the customer and SKU level
Lead process for proactively identifying and briefing item refreshes and align cross-functionally on a go to market plan
Align cross-functional teams to ideate and develop a rolling 3-year product innovation strategy aligned with brand vision and mission and growth goals.
Strategically lead inventor relationship management, concept evaluation process and go-forward decision alignment while collaborating with internal and external teams.
Define and track KPIs to identify opportunities and integrate into brand plans
Continually evaluate the brand health to address challenges and opportunities
Ensure product innovation concepts meet brand and financial goals; manage cross-functional teams throughout stage gate and commercialization processes
Present brand innovation strategies to senior leadership, based on market trends, competitor insights, and brand learnings
Regularly perform industry trend analyses to identify and consolidate white space opportunities
What are your skills and experience?
Consumer product brand management experience in a new product-oriented industry, preferably working with toy, entertainment, fashion, or other fast paced industries
Direct experience working with the full product development cycle, with a track record of thriving in a growth oriented and changing environment and experience dealing with overseas development and manufacturing
Experience analyzing consumer data translating into new product recommendations
Deep understanding of the consumer, global markets, competition, and trends to inform product slots and play pattern decisions
Pay range for Connecticut positions: $135,000 to $150,000 per annum based on experience.
