Job Description

  • Responsible for the technical management, supervision, and control of manufacturing processes
  • Ensure production processes run reliably and efficiently, adhering to quality control standards
  • Plan and oversee production schedules
  • Ensure production resource requirements are met
  • Maintain labor and materials budget, meeting established timelines
  • Comply with all health and safety standards
  • Train, motivate, mentor, and manage staff
  • Maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance
  • Develop and implement schedules to meet or exceed production plans
  • Monitor departmental productivity to ensure established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree is a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred
  • Five or more years of managerial experience in a food production environment
  • Ideal candidate will have GFSI or SQF training and/or certification
  • Strong familiarity with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Must have experience with GMP procedures, USDA/FDA compliance, sanitation, and maintaining a HACCP program
  • Solid knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Experience with inventory management systems, particularly using RF scanners
