Title: Accounting Manager

Compensation: $100K- $107K
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee key areas of general accounting, inventory management, and capital expenditure reporting. This role will provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for month-end close activities, process improvement initiatives, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and review month-end journal entries and account reconciliations, including inventory, expenses, and capital expenditures.
Oversee accounting processes related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and shrink reporting to ensure accurate financial results.
Manage tracking and reporting of IT and capital expenditures, ensuring proper classification and alignment with business objectives.
Lead efforts to improve the accuracy and efficiency of payroll, insurance, and royalty accounting processes.
Prepare and present monthly financial results, including analysis of key variances and trends.
Support the month-end and year-end financial consolidation process in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide guidance and oversight to accounting staff, fostering professional development and high performance.
Serve as a point of contact for external auditors and coordinate audit activities and deliverables.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance internal controls.
Participate in special projects and other ad hoc analyses as needed.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience in public or private industry.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with ERP platforms such as SAP preferred.
Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and project management skills.
