Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounting Clerk to support our team in Fraser, Michigan. This role involves assisting with essential accounting tasks and administrative operations to ensure efficient and accurate financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a collaborative office environment. Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage accounting and administrative documents by scanning, filing, and maintaining records.
- Provide support for accounts payable processes, including invoice handling and vendor communications.
- Create and update purchase orders within the company's accounting system.
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support the team as required.
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable responsibilities to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Answer and manage a multi-line phone system to assist with inquiries and communications.
- Maintain filing systems to ensure easy access to important documents and records. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or business is preferred.
- Previous experience in administrative or accounting support roles, particularly within manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools is advantageous.
- Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Knowledge of invoice processing and document scanning techniques.
