Description We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes of an established Non-Profit. This role is vital in managing month-end and year-end closings, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. - Oversee and manage month-end and year-end financial closings to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring compliance with established accounting standards and policies.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements in all financial processes.
- Provide leadership in implementing and managing accounting software systems and donor management tools.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline financial operations and reporting workflows.
- Develop and enforce accounting policies and procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Oversee audits and ensure proper documentation and compliance with auditing standards.
- Manage and improve processes related to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and billing functions.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and donor management tools.
- Hands-on experience with ADP, Concur, and Blackbaud systems is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
- Familiarity with month-end closings, financial reporting, and auditing processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead a team effectively and communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
