Description We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead our accounting operations and ensure the organization's financial integrity. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively oversee financial processes, support company growth, and collaborate with senior leadership and external stakeholders. Based in Irving, Texas, this position also involves limited oversight of HR, payroll, IT, and administrative functions. Responsibilities:
- Supervise the accounting team, managing day-to-day operations and month-end financial close processes.
- Ensure accurate preparation and reporting of financial statements, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Develop and implement financial strategies for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term growth.
- Collaborate with private equity stakeholders and senior leadership, providing insights and presenting financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain robust internal controls.
- Manage payroll operations and ensure timely processing for all employees.
- Oversee insurance and benefit administration, optimizing cost-effective plans while ensuring compliance.
- Provide limited oversight of outsourced IT services and HR/payroll functions.
- Coordinate with external accounting firms for support on specialized financial tasks.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and systems to enhance efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting leadership roles, preferably within private equity-backed organizations.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is strongly preferred.
- Expertise in month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting software, including BlackLine, is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives and external stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align financial operations with business objectives.
