We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to manage and streamline accounts payable operations. The ideal candidate will take ownership of critical financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency while maintaining compliance with company policies. Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy, proper coding, and necessary approvals. - Reconcile accounts payable invoices with purchase orders and expense reports. - Investigate and resolve discrepancies or outstanding balances on accounts. - Maintain organized and accurate records of accounts payable transactions. - Prepare and process payments to vendors by entering data into accounting systems. - Communicate daily financial totals to facilitate checking account transfers. - Assist in creating month-end journal entries and other financial reports. - Serve as a liaison between vendors and the company to address and resolve invoice-related issues. - Support special projects and contribute to training initiatives for team members. Requirements - Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience. - Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP and Concur. - Strong understanding of account coding and accrual accounting principles. - Experience with automated clearing house (ACH) and other payment processing methods. - Familiarity with ADP and financial services systems is preferred.
