Role Description
The Warehouse Supervisor at Advanex plays a critical role in overseeing the efficient operation of warehouse activities to ensure timely and accurate handling of inventory. This position is responsible for supervising warehouse staff, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining optimal storage conditions to support production and distribution schedules. The supervisor ensures compliance with safety regulations and company policies, fostering a safe and productive work environment. They also collaborate closely with procurement and production teams to streamline processes and improve overall warehouse performance. Ultimately, the Warehouse Supervisor drives operational excellence to support the company’s supply chain objectives and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping activities.
- Manage, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to maintain high performance and adherence to safety standards and SOPs.
- Coordinate with logistics and production teams to align inventory management with manufacturing schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize loss or damage.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.
- Prepare and analyze operational reports to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities to ensure operational readiness.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in manufacturing warehouse operations with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in forklift operation and warehouse safety.
- Proficiency with ERP software, PLEX experience preferably.
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training.
