Hiring Groundskeeper/ Landscaper (5073)

Location: Langston, OK, United States of America

Salary: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with some weekends and occasional nights, weekends and holidays for snow removal.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities

• Prepare trucks for the day: load gas cans, mowers, and other equipment.
• Secure all equipment.
• Perform groundskeeping on properties: mow turf, line trim and edge, sweep and blow leaves and clippings, prune shrubs and trees, pull weeds, clean site.
• Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin‑axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain‑saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws.
• Shovel snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots and spread salt.
• Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, trimming, and edging around flower beds.
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges using hand tools.
• Seeding and maintenance of beds, flower installations, application of erosion control blankets, fertilizer, herbicides, and fungicides.
• Maintain equipment and structures such as fences, benches, and perform minor outbuilding maintenance using hand and power tools.
• Other duties: snow removal, working nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma preferred.
• Experience: Some experience in lawn care helpful; must operate lawn care machinery including mowers, edgers, and backpack blowers.
• Skills: Good communication; organizational and prioritizing ability; problem‑solving; self‑motivated; ability to work independently and in a team; flexible.
• Physical: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., lift shovels full of snow, push, pull, and grip various tools; walk up to 10 miles a day; work under extreme weather conditions; tolerate loud noise with possible ear‑plugs.
