Position Title
Administrative Assistant II (Solid Waste)
Purpose
This position provides administrative support for Solid Waste staff and delivers customer service to internal and external customers by performing data entry and correspondence, compiling and preparing reports and research, indexing records, and performing general accounting functions.
Responsibilities
Perform data entry and correspondence, compile and prepare reports, index records, and perform general accounting functions for the Solid Waste Division.
Ideal Candidate
- The ability to process and review general personnel, payroll, financial and/or purchasing functions and entries which may include processing timekeeping, A/P.
- The ability to maintain and sort files and records, which may include scanning and indexing city records.
- The ability to generate a variety of routine and non-routine documents, which may include reports, flyers and marketing materials, templates, surveys, and correspondence.
- The ability to work with confidential documents.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High School graduation or equivalency
Experience
- 2 years' experience with comparable level 2 responsibilities. Considerable previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions. The job requires a sound knowledge of common and uncommon techniques, concepts, methods, practices, use of forms, routines, etc., of complex nature.
