Pay

Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $27.00/hr. Compensation will be competitive according to skills and experience. Expected hours: 25–35 per week, with possibility of full time.

Job Details

Part‑time (3/4 time), in person. Job type: Part‑time to 3/4 time.

Responsibilities

• Accounting / Bookkeeping (80%): Hands‑on position dealing with AP, payroll, multi‑jurisdiction sales tax, data entry, and general accounting duties.
• Payroll (weekly): Enter timesheets, process weekly payroll in QuickBooks Desktop, manage PTO, bonuses, deductions, and ensure proper contributions to state agencies; file payroll taxes.
• Accounts Payable (weekly): Enter invoices, bills, and credit card receipts; process payments to vendors.
• Colorado Sales Tax Filing (monthly): Manage multi‑jurisdiction sales tax experience in Colorado and handle state tax website requirements.
• Office support (20%): Light filing, entering new employees in QuickBooks, reporting to CO NewHire website.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (not QuickBooks Online) and filing multi‑jurisdiction sales tax.
• 3 years of accounting experience (required).
• Experience with Excel manipulation and QuickBooks standard reports.
• Organized, dependable, able to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
