AMERICAN WELDING & GAS, INC. has a new opportunity for a CDL HazMat Driver in South Range, MI. This is a full-time career opportunity with excellent benefits!
Duties
- Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
- Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
- Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
- Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
- Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
- Performs other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, crouching, kneeling
- Driving vehicle
- Repetitive movement
- Operating motorized equipment
- Sitting; standing; walking
- Working indoor/outdoor as business needs
- Working at increased noise levels
- Safety hazards
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Class A or B CDL Required with Hazmat, Tanker & Airbrake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements
- Clean driving record
- Able to read and write English
- Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test
- Ability to communicate with customers Drug Free work environment.
