Key Duties

Define and lead Electrical/Electronic/Electromechanical (EEE) Parts Engineering technical assignments related to hardware design, manufacture and test.

Define and lead in the strategic approach to selection, qualification, test, and failure analysis of EEE Parts.

Prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.

Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement/Supply Chain.

Work on electrical components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, integrated circuits (ICs), hybrids, crystals, crystal oscillators, filters, fuses, heaters, magnetics, microcircuits, relays, semiconductors, thermistors.

Travel and work closely with suppliers and government agencies to ensure electronic component selections meet both quality expectations and product performance requirements.

Work with leadership on technical mentoring plans and development opportunities for junior engineers.

Successful applicants will typically have 12+ years of related professional work experience and a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related technical field.

Basic Qualifications

Formal coursework, training, experience and/or knowledge in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical parts and circuits, semiconductor physics and/or operation of devices such as hybrids, integrated circuits, transistors, diodes and capacitors.

Advanced knowledge of design, functionality, manufacturing, materials and processes used in EEE parts.

Experience reviewing engineering drawings and/or specifications and providing guidance to design and test teams.

Experience establishing and implementing technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).

Experience or knowledge of failure analysis, destructive physical analysis and/or root cause and corrective action analysis related to EEE parts.

U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Desired Skills

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials Engineering with emphasis on electrical parts, semiconductor physics or related field of study.

Familiarity with technical requirements (specifications, program plans/requirements, etc.).

Experience leading and presenting in major program milestone reviews such as PDR and CDR.

Advanced understanding of Nuclear effects on EEE parts and demonstrated ability to work closely with Survivability Engineers in strategic Rad‑Hard applications.

Familiarity with military specifications and engineering requirements.

Advanced understanding of worst‑case analysis (WCA)/EEE parts derating and end‑of‑life requirements.

Experience in leading the evaluation of current and developing technologies for EEE parts in complex design packages.

Active or Current Top Secret clearance.

Position Salary Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 – $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range will reflect the candidate's final work location.
