We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer - Civil Engineer to join our team. This position is 40 hours per week in our Minden, NV or Reno, NV offices. It will work on‑site. Relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities
Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, & Flo-2D.
Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting; prior floodplain modeling work experience in Douglas County is preferable.
Researches jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
Oversees production of drainage design and construction drawings using AutoCAD & MicroStation.
Performs data management and prepares exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS (desirable).
Works as a member of a multi-discipline team.
Mentors EIT staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic theory and practice.
Conducts site visits and documents findings.
Writes and coordinates preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Minimum 5 years of drainage experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Proficient with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, & Flo-2D
Proficiency with ArcGIS and QGIS; GISP certification desirable
Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong organizational and communication skills
Works well in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Strong knowledge of construction means, methods and techniques
Ability to prepare civil engineering documents and specifications for projects
