You’ll work alongside high-integrity professionals, serving sophisticated clients and helping drive financial clarity and long-term growth. Scion Staffing has been engaged to lead the search for a Senior Tax Accountant on behalf of an established CPA firm with a strong reputation in Boise, Idaho. This is a full-time, onsite role offering the opportunity to become a trusted advisor and play a key role in the success of a thriving practice.

WHAT YOU WILL LEAD

Manage and review tax compliance engagements (corporate, partnership, individual).

Lead compilation and review engagements; ensure accuracy and compliance with professional standards.

Provide tax planning and proactive advisory services tailored to client needs.

Oversee client accounting systems and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships built on trust, care, and communication.

Mentor and guide staff accountants; foster a collaborative, high-productivity culture.

Support clients with complex, multi-entity structures including real estate, medical practices, and investment groups.

Participate in business development opportunities with referred and prospective clients.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

CPA license required.

5–10 years of public accounting experience (tax, compilations, reviews, consulting).

Strong technical knowledge of tax laws, accounting systems, and compliance standards.

Proficiency in accounting software including Thomson Reuters Creative Solutions, UltraTax, QuickBooks, and related platforms.

Proven ability to work with complex, multi-entity clients ($5M–$30M revenue typical).

Excellent communication skills; ability to interact with clients at an executive and owner level.

Strong cultural alignment : professional, highly productive, collaborative, and client-care focused.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Competitive base salary :

$80,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience).
