We are a federally compliant, DEA-certified, ISO-accredited analytical cannabis testing laboratory dedicated to providing accurate, timely, and legally defensible results. We serve licensed producers, processors, and regulatory agencies with comprehensive analytical services.
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Lab Manager to lead our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of laboratory management experience and a strong background in regulated testing environments. This individual will be responsible for daily lab operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining quality standards, and supporting a collaborative and productive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the laboratory
Maintain and enforce compliance with DEA, ISO/IEC 17025, USDA, Dept. of Health, and state regulatory standards
Supervise and run instruments and support a team of analysts and technicians
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment (including HPLC, GC/MS, LC-MS/MS, ICP-MS, PCR, and Water Activity Instruments) and work with Agilent instrumentation for method development and troubleshooting
Maintain documentation and quality control records
Interface with clients and regulatory agencies as needed
Work with our ordering manager to keep consumables stocked
Promote a team‑oriented work environment and mentor staff
Stay current with industry trends and compliance updates
Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and report to the CEO
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of laboratory management experience in a regulated analytical or cannabis testing lab
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (ISO 17025, DEA compliance, state‑level cannabis testing rules)
Proficiency in operating and maintaining analytical instrumentation
Familiarity with Agilent hardware/software
Strong documentation and data review skills
Excellent leadership and communication abilities
Must be a U.S. citizen or naturalized citizen (due to federal cannabis regulations)
Must be able to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with plating for microbial testing
Working knowledge of LIMS systems
Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field
