We are seeking a
Senior Manual QA Tester
with strong experience in
Healthcare Claims (EDI 837) testing
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of claims processing, test lifecycle management, and healthcare payer systems.
Role Overview As a Manual QA Tester (EDI Claims), you will be responsible for analyzing requirements, designing and executing test cases, validating EDI transactions, and ensuring high-quality software delivery. You’ll work closely with business analysts, developers, and other QA professionals to identify defects and ensure smooth claims processing and adjudication.
Key Responsibilities
Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for healthcare claims (837 EDI transactions).
Validate claims data across various systems, ensuring accuracy in claims processing and adjudication.
Perform functional, integration, and regression testing within healthcare applications.
Manage and track defects using tools such as Jira or similar test management platforms.
Work collaboratively across development and business teams to ensure defect-free releases.
Execute SQL queries to validate backend data during testing.
Document test results, provide detailed issue reports, and contribute to continuous process improvement.
Understand and follow STLC processes end-to-end.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of overall software testing experience, with 3-4 years as a Senior QA Tester.
Strong background in healthcare domain, specifically EDI 837 claims processing and adjudication.
Experience with ITS claims / Interplan claims is a strong plus.
Hands-on experience with Jira or similar test management tools.
Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and backend testing.
Experience with Facets platform is highly preferred.
Knowledge of STLC, defect management, and functional testing methodologies.
Exposure to automation testing tools is a plus (not mandatory).
