CT Technologist - Full-time and Part-time Evening and Overnight Positions
Join Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital for CT Technologist roles on evening and overnight shifts. This expansion project will significantly enhance facilities and imaging capabilities, and we are seeking passionate CT Technologists to work with state-of-the-art Siemens Force scanners. We are a Magnet-designated hospital committed to nursing excellence and exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Positions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
Administers oral and/or IV contrast in accordance with department policies and physician orders; follows through with post-exam instructions.
Enters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time, and other technical data into the computer.
Communicates with patient before and during the procedure; monitors safety and comfort.
Views images to ensure quality; produces radiographs.
Performs CT equipment QA and maintains required logs.
Performs clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed.
Qualifications Required:
ARRT
IEMA Division of Nuclear Safety
BLS through American Heart Association
2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent
Preferred:
ARRT registry in CT or MRI
1 year experience
