Salary Range: $90,000 - $98,000 base, 15% annual bonus and full relocation/benefits

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented
Associate Buyer
to support our retail buying team in managing a $65M business. The ideal candidate will have strong
Merchandise Planning
experience and a deep understanding of
Open to Buy (OTB)
principles, with a proven ability to manage complex SKU assortments and optimize inventory flow across multiple categories.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Buyer in developing and executing merchandise strategies that drive sales, margin, and inventory goals.
Assist in the management of an Open to Buy (OTB) framework, including forecasting, monthly re‑forecasting, and in‑season inventory tracking.
Analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities at the category and SKU level.
Maintain and update assortment plans for 100–500 SKUs, ensuring alignment with seasonal strategies, brand vision, and customer demand.
Partner with Planning, Allocation, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely and accurate flow of merchandise.
Manage purchase orders, vendor communication, and tracking to ensure product delivery timelines are met.
Conduct competitive market analysis and vendor line reviews to support buying decisions.
Monitor product performance, generate performance reports, and make recommendations for markdowns, reorders, or promotional activity.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including marketing, e‑commerce, and store operations to support go‑to‑market execution.
Qualifications:
2–4 years of experience in retail buying, merchandise planning, or inventory management.
Strong knowledge of
Open to Buy (OTB)
systems and methodologies.
Experience managing sales volumes of $50M+ and mid‑sized SKU counts (100–500 SKUs).
Advanced Excel skills; experience with retail planning systems (e.g., JDA, Oracle Retail, SAP, or similar) preferred.
Highly analytical with a keen attention to detail and ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally and influence decision‑making.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
Preferred Attributes:
