Job Summary: The Assistant Athletic Director of Annual Giving will focus on assisting with all aspects of the annual fund and actively soliciting for Erk Russell Fund gifts, within Georgia Southern Athletics. Directly reporting to the Associate Director of Athletic Development this position will be one with travel requirements focused on building relationships and raising money.
Responsibilities
Assist the Associate Athletic Director with all initiatives and duties related to the Erk Russell Fund
Complete at least 150 personal visits annually
Solicit for annual fund gifts regularly, focusing on gifts ranging from $60 up to $10,000
Travel 2–3 weeks out of every month, with a focus within a 3‑hour radius
Work collaboratively with the University Foundation
Identify major gift prospects while visiting alumni
Oversee GATA Club
Oversee the Young Alumni and True Blue Student programs
Oversee all aspects of the car dealer program
Supervise and lead the annual fund operations for the Athletic Foundation
Manage portfolio of donors and solicit annual fund and philanthropic gifts to support Georgia Southern student‑athletes
Oversee the facilitation of premium seating sales
Participate in athletic development events, including home football game activities, on and off‑campus donor events, and other athletic events that attract significant major gift donor presence
Manage collaborative teamwork and communication among Georgia Southern Athletics Foundation, Department of Athletics, University Advancement, and the greater Georgia Southern community
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
One (1) or more years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
Experience with all facets of annual giving for Division I collegiate athletics
Proposed Salary $60,617 - $77,306 (this is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis)
