Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer to support the In-Flight Interceptor Communications System (IFICS) Data Terminal product team on the Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. In this role the candidate will perform Systems Engineering functions such as requirements decomposition, hardware fault analysis, and hardware to software interface definition, and testing as part of the IDT product team.
Responsibilities
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Active Secret Clearance required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college and 8+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience
Prior experience developing Test Plans and Test Procedures for DoD programs
Experience working on Missile Defense systems or programs
Proficient with DOORS for requirements management
Familiar with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools such as Cameo
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience using Atlassian Tools
Familiar with Agile terminology and best practices
Prior experience as a Product Owner
Familiar with automated software requirements testing and analysis
Familiar with Software Containerization and Orchestration
Familiar with DevSecOps
Prior experience working with MIL-STD-810 and performing Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT)
Prior experience working with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA)
Prior experience working, designing, and / or developing with Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) per MIL-STD-461 and Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) per MIL-STD-464
Prior experience working, designing, and / or developing with High-Altitude electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) per MIL-STD-188-125-1 and MIL-STD-188-125-2
Prior experience working, designing, and / or developing with Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) per MIL-HDBK-344
