Hardware Design Engineer

Contract Position
$44.99-$47.85/Hour
Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed hardware concepts using NX or Creo CAD modeling tools, ensuring alignment with technical performance requirements.
Operate within cross‑functional teams to support deliverables tied to technical scope, cost, and schedule.
Collaborate with engineering peers to achieve a balanced, system‑level design approach.
Work closely with drafting personnel to mature concepts into production‑ready designs.
Oversee the release process for hardware models and prints via Teamcenter.
Provide support to manufacturing teams during hardware fabrication and integration.
Assist with testing and verification of prototypes and production hardware when needed.
Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) activities to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field from an ABET‑accredited program (Mechatronics preferred).
Active or eligible for a U.S. security clearance (non‑U.S. citizens may not qualify).
5–7 years of engineering experience in defense, aerospace, or automotive industries; military land vehicle experience preferred.
Proficient in NX or Creo for 3D modeling and drawing release.
Familiar with Teamcenter for data management.
Experience with ASME Y14.100 standards and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Willing to work limited travel and overtime as needed.
