Description
We are currently seeking a skilled NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Neonatology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing advanced care to newborns in need of specialized medical attention. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and health of these young patients, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will be involved in a variety of neonatal projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
Conducting physical assessments and examinations of newborns in the neonatal unit. Developing and implementing care plans for premature or ill infants. Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Providing education and support to families on neonatal care and procedures. Collaborating with neonatologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in the neonatal team. Monitoring and documenting patient progress and medical records accurately. Participating in rounds, conferences, and case reviews to discuss patient care strategies.
Requirements:
Valid NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) license. Specialization or certification in Neonatology. Strong knowledge of neonatal care practices and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking abilities. Capability to make quick and accurate decisions in emergency situations. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Level III NICU
Schedule: Friday-Monday, 3p-7a
Duties: Intubations, central line placement, peripheral arterial lines, attend high-risk deliveries, and ground and air transports
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
