In Person. Position Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) will work in our outpatient Infusion Centers providing holistic, quality nursing care for patients and families within the Infusion Centers. The Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute focuses on offering cancer patients a coordinated network of services under one roof. Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments and provide symptom management and patient/family education. Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy, infusions, injections, and transfusions safely. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout treatment stages. Collaborate with provider offices to schedule infusion visits. Triage patients via pathways and collaborate with physicians for toxicities, symptom management and referrals within RN scope. Manage a caseload of patients receiving a variety of infusion and oral therapies on an outpatient basis. Demonstrate high‑level skills to manage a complex workload efficiently for safe, high‑quality care. Communicate effectively with diverse audiences to achieve desired outcomes. Participate in continuous professional development, patient safety behaviors, and patient experience focus. Implement clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the continuum. Qualifications
Current Connecticut RN License. Current OCN Chemotherapy/Biotherapy card (or obtain within first month of hire). Education
BSN strongly preferred. Experience
Two (2) years of oncology nursing experience strongly preferred. Benefits & Development
