The Soldering Technician will possess substantial experience in soldering electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), encompassing both through-hole and Surface Mount Technology (SMT). This technician will be responsible for ensuring all components are soldered accurately and function in accordance with IPC standards. A thorough comprehension of schematics, diagrams, and assembly instructions is requisite. Meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to operate effectively within a dynamic environment are paramount to achieving success in this role.

Principal Responsibilities:

Perform soldering of electronic components on PCBs utilizing through-hole and SMT techniques. Capable of accurately following process without supervision. Adhere to assembly instructions, schematics, and diagrams to guarantee precise component placement and orientation. Conduct inspections of assembled products to verify operational integrity. Remedy defects in soldered components, including instances of insufficient solder, lifted leads, solder bridges, cold solder joints, incorrect orientation, and other anomalies. Maintain a consistently orderly and organized workspace. Fulfill production quotas and timelines.

Essential Responsibilities:

Minimum of three years of professional experience in soldering electronic components on PCBs. Comprehensive knowledge of through-hole and SMT soldering methodologies. Proficiency in utilizing hand tools and equipment, such as soldering irons, tweezers, and microscopes. Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. Exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team framework. Mentor and guide coworkers/new hires as required. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Maintain compliance with company safety policies by adhering to all established safety protocols and ESD procedures to protect sensitive electronic components. Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Computer literacy is essential, along with the ability to read, write, review, and approve documentation. Participate in company-sponsored and specialized training programs to enhance skills and professional development. Desired Qualifications:

High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, or equivalent educational attainment. Familiarity with assembly instructions, schematics, and diagrams. Current J-STD-001 & IPC 610 certifications or ability to obtain certifications with in house training.
Demonstrated working knowledge of IPC A 610, IPC-A-620, and J-STD standards is required.
