Description
We are currently seeking a skilled MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Pathology, a leading staffing and recruiting company. In this role, you will play a crucial part in diagnosing diseases through the examination of bodily fluids, tissues, and organs. Your expertise will be vital in providing accurate and timely pathology reports, contributing to the overall healthcare system. As an MD/DO Pathologist, you will be involved in a variety of projects, including analyzing laboratory samples, conducting research to improve diagnostic techniques, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to determine the best treatment plans for patients. Responsibilities
Analyze laboratory samples to identify abnormalities or diseases.
Interpret test results and prepare detailed pathology reports.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss diagnoses.
Conduct research to develop and improve diagnostic procedures.
Ensure compliance with regulations and quality standards in all processes.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review complex cases.
Provide expertise and guidance to laboratory staff on sample collection and handling.
Stay updated on the latest advancements and technologies in the field of pathology.
Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and documentation.
Experience with laboratory information systems and digital imaging software.
Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in the field of pathology.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
Call shifts available
Setting: Inpatient
Annual Volume: 14k cases
Daily Volume: 30 reads
Cases: General surgical cases except neuropathology, frozen sections, breast, cytopathology, anatomic pathology, clinical pathology
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
