The New Orleans, LA office of Modjeski and Masters, Inc. is seeking experienced Civil/Structural Bridge Design Engineers.
What We’re Looking For
At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
Mid‑Level (4–10 years related Bridge Design Experience) – ideal candidate within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license.
Senior Level (10+ years related Bridge Design Experience) – valid Professional Engineering License (PE) in the state of Louisiana.
What You’ll Do
Review and check standard structural design calculations.
Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for contract plan development.
Prepare design reports and project‑related documents.
Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
Perform and check quantity take‑offs from contract plans and review drawings.
Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA‑3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.
Apply relevant design specifications including AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
Lead projects by identifying issues and developing solutions; serve as technical leader on complex projects and deliver projects on schedule.
