Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Pulmonology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. Your expertise will be instrumental in diagnosing, treating, and managing pulmonary diseases, making a significant impact on the well-being of our patients.
As an NP or PA in Pulmonology, you will be involved in a variety of projects focused on respiratory health, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of patients with pulmonary disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and imaging studies.
Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies for pulmonary diseases.
Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management and disease prevention.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies.
Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives related to Pulmonology.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Requirements:
Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant program.
Current NP or PA license in the state of practice.
Specialization or certification in Pulmonology is preferred.
Strong knowledge of pulmonary diseases, treatments, and best practices.
Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call or weekend shifts
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Cenus: 20-30 per day
Team Structure: 2 MDs, 2 APPs
Preferred Experience: 1+ year of outpatient pulmonology
Must be board-certified
