About This Role Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
As a Primary Therapist, you’ll work thoughtfully with our patients to develop and implement their individualized treatment plans. This role will consist of conducting individual therapy meetings, collaborating with patients’ outpatient teams, and leading patients through their overall treatment program.
You’ll partner closely with the entirety of our treatment teams, including Group Therapists, Family Therapists, and Prescribers to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care. Our centrally located Chicago office is nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of North Center, not to mention the social events hosted on our fully furnished rooftop! The scheduling will incorporate both daytime and evening program hours, 8:00‑6:00 PM CST.
What You’ll Do
Complete initial intake evaluation to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program
Provide group and individual therapy
Provide family therapy as needed
Communicate with patients’ family members or support system, on a weekly basis or as needed
Co‑ordinate care with patients’ outside providers to ensure continuity of care
Communicate with patients’ home school and attend school re‑entry meetings
Create individualized weekly schedules for each patient based on need
Assess patients’ progress and need for higher level of care, transition plan and/or discharge
Chart progress of patients appropriately
Complete administrative documentation (initial treatment plans/updates, discharges, attendance, research)
Provide insurance utilization team with updates
Who You Are
Hold the following licenses or certifications PhD, PsyD, LMFT, LCPC or LCSW
A motivated and dynamic clinician who can work effectively with families in crisis
3+ years of post‑master’s experience is required, including working with children and families
A core skill set of CBT and DBT and prior experience working in a partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient program are preferred
Innovative, organized, excellent work ethic, passionate about patient care, and has the ability to lead and work collaboratively with others
Compensation $55,000—$90,000 USD
