Description As a Payroll Specialist at DaBella , you’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states and support over 2,000+ employees. You’ll ensure timely, accurate payroll while maintaining compliance and helping team members navigate payroll inquiries. You’ll also play a key role in training and supporting junior staff.
Location & Hours On-sight, Monday – Friday, in Hillsboro, Oregon
Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $25.00
Job Responsibilities
Processing full-cycle payroll weekly and bi-weekly
Managing high-volume payroll data using Excel and Paycom
Running timesheet and audit reports to ensure compliance and accuracy
Issuing manual checks, calculating bonuses and commissions
Collaborating with HR to resolve payroll discrepancies
Maintaining multi-state payroll knowledge including final check laws and garnishments
Responding to employee and management payroll inquiries with 24-hour turnaround
Assisting in training and mentoring payroll assistants
Handling sensitive employee data with professionalism and confidentiality
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
1+ year of payroll experience
Strong Excel skills – comfortable with formulas and pivot tables
Experience with HRIS/payroll systems like Paycom, ADP, or Paychex
Knowledge of payroll laws and wage garnishments (multi-state preferred)
Detail-oriented, organized, and accountable
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to handle confidential information with integrity
Experience in the sales or home improvement industry is a plus
