Northwestern Medicine
Senior Analytics Developer – Chicago, IL. Deliver data warehouse and analytic solutions by writing ETL packages, developing visualizations, performing data and statistical analyses, and administering systems to deliver information to the health system. Serve as a functional and content expert of pipelines to synthesize raw data into actionable information. Apply advanced SQL knowledge and create complex queries and stored procedures. Assist with the analysis, design, development, and support of dashboards, reports, and cubes. Participate in ETL design and development including data analysis, source‑target mapping, quality profiling, change data capture, and program performance. Evaluate data quality, interpret results, and develop documentation on requirements, decisions, design, modifications, and maintenance. Own analytics projects and collaborate with the business. Gather, scope, and execute requirements to recommend analytical solutions. Work collaboratively with multi‑departmental efforts and projects. Share skills and knowledge with staff and act as subject‑matter expert. Contribute to training, development, and maintenance. Technical environment: SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SSMS, SQL Server, Tableau, Microsoft BI, Databricks, Azure DevOps, and structured programming in an agile environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, or a related field plus 4 years of experience in ETL/DW/data analytics.
4 years of experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.
2 years of experience with SQL Server databases creating complex queries and stored procedures.
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports, or SSRS.
Experience with SSIS, SSMS, Azure DevOps, Databricks, and gathering/scoping requirements.
Ability to mentor and train junior staff on analytics tools and solutions.
Serve as an analytics subject‑matter expert.
Experience in an agile environment, solution analysis, design, development, support, and structured programming.
Remote work available for certain states; must attend onsite training or meetings as needed.
Background check, drug screen, and SQL skills assessment required.
