ICON is looking for a Director of Titan Products to lead the integration and alignment of our electrical, mechanical, and controls engineering teams. This leader will ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability while advancing ICON’s mission to reinvent construction. In this role, you’ll guide the product development process end-to-end, from concept to production, ensuring sound technical decisions, disciplined execution, and seamless cross‑functional collaboration. This role is based on our Austin, TX HQ campus and reports to the VP of Technology Products.

Responsibilities

Lead and align the Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls/Industrial Engineering teams around shared product goals.

Ensure that engineering outputs meet product goals, quality standards, and customer needs.

Serve as the technical product authority ensuring design integrity, safety, and adherence to requirements and standards.

Oversee and approve major technical reviews (PDR, CDR, safety reviews, etc.) and sign off on critical design deliverables.

Oversee functional technical teams as they evolve engineering standards, processes, and expectations across disciplines.

Escalate technical issues that may impact product performance, safety, or business objectives—ensuring timely visibility and action.

Mentor and develop technical leaders, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.

Partner with subsystem owners to evaluate trade‑offs and prioritize complex technical challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of experience in product or systems development roles with increasing leadership responsibility.

Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, or equivalent).

Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and design review rigor.

Proven ability to align technical teams around business and mission goals.

Exceptional communication and decision‑making skills—able to translate between technical detail and strategic intent.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Background in systems engineering, product development, or manufacturing integration is preferred (but not required).
