Ace Resources is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented
Controller
to lead and elevate our client's accounting operations. This individual will take ownership of the accounting department, implement robust, audit-ready controls, and establish clear treasury management controls, procedures and processes to support a growing organization. The ideal candidate will have
10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience , and a strong grasp of financial reporting, modeling, forecasting, and banking relationship management. This role requires someone capable of driving both operational efficiency and financial insight. Key Objectives
Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial operations. Design and implement scalable, audit-ready internal controls and accounting procedures. Deliver consistent and insightful financial reporting and forecasting to support strategic decision-making. Maintain and manage banking relationships and ensure compliance with credit facility covenants. Partner cross-functionally with Operations and Sales teams to align financial processes with business goals and growth strategies. Duties & Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring effective day-to-day operations. Establish and enforce internal policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Manage annual audit per bank covenants Collaborate with executive leadership on budgeting, strategic planning, and business analysis. Controls, Processes & Compliance
Build and document internal accounting controls that are audit-ready and scalable. Prepare for and support external audits and financial reviews. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial and tax regulations. Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports on a regular basis. Maintain/develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning. Provide analytical support to executive leadership, identifying trends and key performance indicators. Banking & Treasury Management
Manage day-to-day cashflow to ensure minimal exposure to lines of credit and interest charges Collaborate with executive leadership on capital expenditures and lending opportunities associated with growth capital needs Manage day-to-day banking operations and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions. Monitor and maintain compliance with loan covenants and reporting requirements. Support financing initiatives, including renewals or negotiations of credit facilities. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 10+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience. Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems. Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Experience in leading teams. Experience working with financial institutions and managing debt covenants. Experience on executive leadership teams of private company preferred. Salary range: $100,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
