Akkodis is recruiting for a
Power Systems Embedded Engineer
for a client in Andover, MA. This is a direct hire position with a pay range of $110K to $118K annually depending on education, experience and location. Contribute to the development of embedded firmware architecture and code optimized for controlling families of advanced power components. Responsibilities
Collaborate with analog engineers to design control algorithms and firmware solutions for power supply platforms. Address change requests and resolve bugs using scope traces and other hardware diagnostics. Define processes, methodologies, and tools for developing reusable power converter control algorithms across product families. Integrate product and manufacturing requirements into firmware design to ensure robust and scalable solutions. Perform design tradeoffs and evaluate microcontroller options to meet performance and cost objectives. Analyze requirements, break down tasks, estimate effort, and work with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones. Mentor hardware engineers on contributing effectively to firmware development efforts. Apply formal development methods and best practices to create standardized, maintainable code modules. Participate in the creation of requirements and design specifications. Support unit testing and other verification and validation activities. Education / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development, including work with microprocessors/microcontrollers and hardware/software debugging. Proficiency in C and Assembly language programming. Ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. Strong team collaboration skills across engineering, marketing, and manufacturing functions. Self-driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented, organized, and effective communicator. Experience in power supply design and testing is highly desirable. Familiarity with tools such as Simulink, StateFlow, Microsoft Visual Studio, and ARM Cortex-M0 is a plus. How to apply
