Overview This hybrid role expects regular time both inside and outside the company office in Raleigh, NC. The Software Engineer - .NET will provide advanced technical support to data processing systems, analyze and improve systems, assist in installation, and enhance processes through coding, testing and system analysis. Occasionally, the engineer may guide less experienced analysts.
Responsibilities
Data Analysis – Source, compile, and interpret data; analyze for accuracy and efficiency; communicate findings.
System Testing – Thoroughly test new software and system changes; evaluate and convey results; assist in implementing system modifications and enhancements.
Business Support – Provide coding support, ensure processes run smoothly, and continuously improve processing capabilities in close collaboration with business units and operation teams.
Technical Proficiency – Develop or install appropriate computer software and serve as a resource on data processing systems and procedures.
On‑call Support – Provide 24/7 on‑call support via rotation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in application software programming; OR High School Diploma/GED and 6 years of experience.
Preferred Area of Study: Computer Science.
Preferred Technology Experience: MS.NET, ASP.NET, SQL scripting, PowerShell scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Microsoft .NET (C#), ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, HTML5, XML, SQL scripting, PowerShell, Net Core REST API, Entity Framework, LINQ, IIS hosting, and test‑driven development.
Experience in web development using JSON, HTML, Razor, CSS preprocessors (MVC or Blazor).
Basic PowerShell knowledge.
SSIS experience.
Experience with TFS or similar code repository.
Experience with ServiceNow or other IT service ticketing systems.
Knowledge of system lifecycle development (Waterfall, Agile).
Ability to be on call 24 h/day, 7 days/week on a rotating basis.
