Business Intelligence Manager
Location: Dunwoody, GA
Overview We’re seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Manager with deep expertise across the Microsoft data stack including SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Azure, and Power BI to lead our data strategy, architecture, and reporting initiatives. The ideal candidate is both a hands‑on technical leader and a strategic thinker who can translate data into actionable insights that drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the BI Function: Oversee end‑to‑end BI initiatives from data integration and modeling to visualization and analytics delivery.
Architecture & Strategy: Design and maintain scalable BI architectures leveraging Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, and related tools.
ETL Management: Direct the design, development, and maintenance of SSIS packages for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Reporting & Visualization: Build and manage enterprise‑level dashboards and reports in Power BI and SSRS, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and usability across business units.
Analytics & Insights: Partner with finance, operations, and executive leadership to provide data‑driven insights that guide business decisions.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of BI Developers and Analysts, setting priorities, standards, and best practices.
Data Governance: Establish data quality and governance standards to ensure integrity, security, and compliance.
Cloud Modernization: Drive the migration of legacy BI systems to Azure‑based platforms for improved scalability and performance.
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
Expert‑level knowledge of:
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse design principles.
Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate complex data concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
Experience managing cross‑functional teams and multiple BI projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python, R, or Azure Machine Learning a plus.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies for BI project delivery.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
